<p>As far as I can tell this is a first for digital cameras. Ricoh has just released the GXR camera which has the lens, image sensor, and image processing engine all contained in one unit. This allows the body to be very small and yet still have interchangeable lenses. Ricoh claims it is the smallest camera with interchangeable lenses. Small and new equals a hefty price tag. <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002W6Z1JA?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=ashcan-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=390957&#038;creativeASIN=B002W6Z1JA">Amazon is allowing pre-orders for the body only for $549.</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=ashcan-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B002W6Z1JA" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> There are two lenses I found on Amazon and they are selling for $830 and $440.</p>
<p>Read about more details about the GXR from <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/news/0911/09111001ricohgxr.asp">DPreview.com</a>.</p>
