This has to be one of the most serious case mods I have ever run across. The amount of time spent is high and it turned out great. Using the Doom video game the artist took many elements from the game and a lot of different materials to build this great case.

Sean Woolsey runs a great blog dealing with art, design, music, fashion, travel, and tech. The artist of the week interviews are some of my favorites. They are very detailed and ask great questions. He has interviews with some great artists such as Danny Jones of YASLY, Mulheres Barbadas, Matt Sewell and Chuck Anderson. In his own words
Sean Woolsey is a person. An artist, an entrepreneur, and a firm believer in the intrinsic value of life.
Like any unpretentious artist dabbling in many fields, his motivation is toward the catharsis of free expression and self-exploration through any means necessary.
Plus anyone who enjoys ping pong is okay with us.

Inhabitat has posted another great tree house in Lake Muskoka, Ontario. Constructed in an effort to minimize the impact on the four surrounding trees the house is built on.

Writing your name in rubber has seen its artistic beginning. Auto Express wrote an article pointing out if you do not own a high HP car or would rather spend your extra money on something other then tires, there is a board on Project Gotham Racing 4 where you can practice your next burnt rubber masterpiece.

With a good understanding of Photoshop, lighting, and photography it is very easy to make a decent “photoshopped” image. I was even unaware that some of the images I remember were actually “old school photoshopped.” Like this one of Abraham Lincoln from 1860.

As the article says this may look easy but to think about the camera distance, focus, angle, and the bill placement to say the least takes much patience. This image is part of his “Fun with Perspective” series you can see here.

Crestock is having a Photoshop contest. They have four rounds each building up in prizes. The only rule is you have to use at least one image from their stock photo library provided in the round. Judging is done with 40% internet vote and 60% special judges.
- Round 1 – Prizes are iPod + iPod Nano
- Round 2 – Prize is 13″ Macbook
- Round 3 – Prize is 15″ Macbook Pro
- Round 4 – Prize is Mac Pro + 2x 30″ Cinema Displays
Yeah round 4 is the serious one. Everyone will be entering this round. Obviously they are getting serious advertising via blogs.

It seems Leonardo has more in his paintings then we previously thought. Musician Giovanni Maria Pala claims to have discovered hidden musical notes coming from the hand positions in the painting. It could be thought of that he would include this because well he was a genius and it would make a good find for later generations. But it could also have been used for composition. He was painting an image to which no one knows exactly how it might have looked. So why not used musical notes for spacing and orientation of the hands. It would be interesting to see if this technique was used in any of his other paintings.
