16 Sites for Web Design Inspiration
I know from experience that most artists will get into a rut at some point and most of the time I have found just going and looking at other talented artists can spark an idea or bring back into focus your talent. A list such as this can be used however one wants of course. Some will actually use it for inspiration while others will use it to copy others designs.
Proof you can make art out of anything. Book teaches how to make “white art” which is sculptures out of grease. In the book it mentions a specific sculpture of a cathedral which supposedly still exists.
Yamaha in a marketing effort has developed a papercarft version of one of their new motorcycles. The papercraft is very detailed and will take someone who knows what they are doing a while to assemble it.
Stan Winston has passed away at the age of 62. Stand is responsible for the animatronics, make-up, and costumes for such movies as Iron Man, Aliens, Predator, Terminator, and Jurassic Park to name a few. Stan was an absolute genius in the special effects arena winning 4 Oscars and with his legacy influencing “movie magic” forever. If you get a chance check out his IMDB profile.
A very interesting and what looks to be sturdy cardboard table by Sruli Recht was made to be able to help artists who do not have easy access to a nice table. This table is able to be put together and broken back down for easy transport. Even comes with its own cardboard carrier. One thing I cant find which would be interesting is how long does it take to put it together?
Ricky Swallows makes incredibly detailed wooden sculptures such as these seen below. Most of his sculptures are so detailed they appear to be made out of something besides wood. Ricky Swallows chooses to work with Jelutong which is very similar to balsa wood.
It is great to see a company that will show off its products designs, even the ones that never had a chance. Nissan is doing this with the GT-R. Obviously it helps when the final outcome is as successful as the new GT-R, but it is very interesting and worth noting on an art blog all the designs they went through before arriving at the final one.
Scientists are able to make magnetic waves visible using some post processing effects. I am not exactly sure on the exact technique as it seems very technical but they are feeding some type of recording information into a CGI program to render out the waves. If anyone knows more of the process please comment.
If EIO Clothing did get their design out before Just Jeans Company then we have a major ripoff happening here. I sure hope Just Jeans makes some type of explanation for how this could happen. If I had to guess I am sure they do not design their own cloths so the blame would fall more on the company they bought it from. The original shirt has three letters at the bottom “E,I, and O” of course representing EIO Clothing but the Just Jeans has “O,M, and M”. I am curious what “OMM” means or represents.
