Speed Painting : F1 Crash

Great speed painting by Martin Missfeldt. The session took 4 hours to complete in Photoshop CS3. I love how the artist choose to have someone in the scene painting the scene. Very creative.

Papercraft TV Series Characters

Our reader Durden pointed out a new papercraft site that releases TV series characters cubees.

These come with tabs to attach the sides so there is no need for glue or tape. The templates are meant to be printed on a standard A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Best of all they are FREE.

So far they have characters from 24, Boston Legal, Alias, Dexter, Heroes, House, Lost, and Prison Break.

Painting with a Remote Control Car

Camaro Painting by Iam Cook using RC cars

General Motors recently commissioned Ian Cook to paint a Camaro convertible live at the London Auto Show with a remote controlled car. Cook is known for his unconventional use of remote control cars as a brush. Cook recognizes that the idea came from a love of cars and the need to be different in order to be successful. The artwork style called “PopBang Color” seems to have a very loose sketch feel due to the wheels driving over the corners. GM has also commissioned him to do another painting soon.
