I came across this post at Uncrate and decided to search for what others thought about it. Well I was blown away at the responses I have found on the internet concerning TV easels.

Wired’s Charlie Sorrel says it would be something tasteless lotto winners would purchase.
Gizmodo seems to have conflicting issues. Sean Fallon likes this version while Mark Wilson seems to enjoy it as much as sour milk.
Although not mentioned in the articles I wonder if the price had a big influence. Or do they hate the idea so much no price justifies using an easel for a TV stand. What do you think about it?

I came across an interesting interview with Freshjive’s owner and designer Rick Klotz about choosing to no longer use any brand logos or names for Freshjive. The company will still be called Freshjive for legal reasons but he will no longer put the company name on the products. Rick goes on to explain that for a long time he has had issues with brand identity.
My problem with it is will he really lose the brand identity? The labels on the shirts show just a black square. This at first appears to be without identity but since I can not think of another company doing this, I would think this would become the new identity, the new brand. I am sure the change will also create a lot of buzz both through the clothing scene and the underground scene Freshjive appeals to. So people will already have in mind what to look for when wanting to buy Freshjive products. When someone asks “who made that”, I find it hard to believe customers and shop owners will say this product was made by the company formally referred to as Freshjive. Instead will just say it is Freshjive. It seems to me Freshjive’s logo has changed from the old version to a very simple black box.
